We love when our hives become part of the daily rhythm of your site, and that includes the other contractors, landscapers, and maintenance teams who help keep your space thriving.
Our honeybees are gentle, focused, and usually far too busy to pay you much attention. Still, there are a few simple things to know so everyone can work safely and comfortably alongside them.
1. Give them a little space
Honeybees like a respectful bubble — about 3–4 metres around the hive is perfect. Avoid blocking their “flight path” (the front of the hive entrance), as this is their busy bee airport.
2. Stay calm and move smoothly
Bees are very sensitive to fast movements and vibrations. Walking past calmly and avoiding sudden swats or shooing motions helps keep them feeling relaxed and unbothered.
3. Avoid disturbing the hive itself
Please don’t touch, move, or tap the hive or any beekeeping equipment. Our professional beekeepers handle all inspections, maintenance, and adjustments.
4. If you must work close to the hive
If your work requires you to be within the bees’ bubble (e.g., painting, landscaping, repairs), email support@alveole.buzz and we can arrange with your Alvéole beekeeper to have the hive temporarily re-located.
Our bees are valued members of the community, and by following these simple tips, you’ll help ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone — winged and otherwise.
